Pay Equity

On 1 July 2017 the Care and Support Workers (Pay Equity) Settlement Act came into effect. This Act sets minimum pay rates for people providing support based on their qualifications. The next rate increase comes into affect from 1 July 2019 and the new minimum wage is $20.50/hour. Please note these are minimum pay rates, you can choose to pay your employee a rate higher than the minimum.
